Clemons
Takes a Different Turn
New
Albany, IN - June 8, 2004 – Josh Clemons may have had a
setback after the disappointing results at Kentucky Speedway, but he
is bouncing back quickly. While getting everything ready for the
ARCA RE/MAX Kentucky 150 on WLW Pole Night on July 9, Clemons is
giving back to the children in the community.
Anticipating
his return in the ARCA RE/MAX Kentucky 150 on WLW Pole Night,
Clemons is going to appear at Kosair Children’s Hospital on June
14. Kosair Children’s Hospital is the only freestanding,
full-service children’s hospital in the region. He is going to
appear in full race-attire and give away signed posters to the many
patients at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Clemons is also planning
more charitable events in the days leading up to the ARCA RE/MAX
Kentucky 150 on WLW Pole Night, which will be revealed in the
upcoming weeks.
Unfortunately,
Josh has been unable to race in the Busch Series so far this year
because he did not compete in any NASCAR Sanctioned events in 2003.
“We
were very disappointed when we found out NASCAR would not let us
compete in the Busch Series, however, we are very proud and thankful
to have the opportunity to compete in the ARCA RE/MAX Series,” said
Larry Clemons, team owner. “The decision NASCAR made forced us to
completely rethink our preparation for the 2004 racing season,”
stated Clemons. “It set our timetable back significantly but our
team will persevere and it will make us that much stronger for
2005.”
The
next race Josh will be in is the ARCA RE/MAX Kentucky 150 on WLW
Pole Night coming up on July 9. Until then, Clemons is going to be out there doing good for
the children and community.
